Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy ("Policy") describes how subscriptions, billing cycles, cancellations, and refund requests are handled for the AnswerMind AI platform. By subscribing to the Service, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Policy.

1. Subscription Billing

AnswerMind AI offers monthly and annual subscription plans. Subscriptions are billed in advance at the start of each billing cycle:

  • Monthly plans: Billed every 30 days from the date your paid subscription starts;
  • Annual plans: Billed as a single upfront payment covering 12 months of access.

All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date. You authorize AnswerMind AI, through our payment processor Paddle, to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until cancellation.

Subscription fees are listed on our pricing page and are subject to applicable taxes. Paddle acts as our Merchant of Record and is responsible for collecting and remitting applicable taxes.

2. Free Trial

New customers receive a 7-day free trial upon registration with a valid payment method. During the trial:

  • Your payment method will not be charged;
  • You have full access to the features included in your selected plan;
  • Your trial begins on the date of registration and ends exactly 7 days later.

If you do not cancel before the end of your trial, your payment method will be automatically charged for the first billing cycle of your selected plan. It is your responsibility to cancel before the trial expires to avoid being charged.

Free trials are available only once per customer entity. AnswerMind AI reserves the right to modify or discontinue the free trial offer at any time.

3. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard (Settings → Billing → Cancel Plan) or by contacting us at [email protected].

Effect of cancellation:

  • Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period;
  • You retain full access to the Service until the end of the paid period;
  • No further charges will be made after the current billing period ends;
  • Your account data will be retained for 30 days post-cancellation, after which it will be permanently deleted.

Cancelling during a free trial takes effect immediately with no charge. Cancelling a paid subscription does not entitle you to a refund for the remaining portion of the current billing period, except as provided in Section 4.

4. Refund Policy

4.1 General Rule — No Refunds for Partial Periods

AnswerMind AI does not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused features, or periods during which you did not use the Service. Once a billing cycle has been charged, fees for that period are non-refundable.

4.2 Annual Plan Refunds

For annual subscriptions, we offer a refund within 7 days of the annual charge if you contact us at [email protected] within that window and have not made significant use of the Service (at our reasonable discretion). After 7 days, annual plan fees are non-refundable, and your access continues until the end of the 12-month period.

4.3 Billing Errors

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly — including duplicate charges, incorrect plan pricing, or charges following timely cancellation — please contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of the charge. We will investigate and, where a billing error is confirmed, issue a full refund for the erroneous charge.

4.4 Service Unavailability

If the Service is unavailable for an extended period due to issues within AnswerMind AI's control, you may be eligible for a pro-rata service credit. Requests must be submitted within 14 days of the incident. Service credits are applied to future billing cycles and are not redeemable for cash, except where required by applicable law. 4.5 Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that exceptional situations arise. If you have a refund request not covered by the above categories, please contact us and we will review it on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion. We aim to be fair and reasonable.

5. Plan Changes (Upgrades and Downgrades)

Upgrades: When you upgrade to a higher plan, the new rate takes effect immediately. You will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing cycle.

Downgrades: When you downgrade to a lower plan, the change takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle. No refund or credit is issued for the difference in cost for the current period.

6. How Refunds Are Processed

Approved refunds are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Refunds are returned to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. Processing times are:

  • Credit/debit cards: 5–10 business days;
  • PayPal: 3–5 business days;
  • Other payment methods: per Paddle's standard processing times.

7. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback with your payment provider without first contacting us to resolve the issue, we reserve the right to immediately suspend your account pending resolution. We encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] — most billing concerns can be resolved quickly.
